RH Recruiting are currently working in partnership with our client in their search for an Operations Manager to join the team at their Chesterfield site.

The Role

Ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the business runs smoothly. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring that effective methods are put into place so that the company runs to its maximum productivity. Working closely with the management team the position contributes to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and practices.

Roles & Responsibilities

* Operational excellence through GIRFT
* Develop, measure and deliver the departments KPIs
* Responsible and accountable for all site health, safety, environmental and quality management
* Planning, scheduling and reviewing workload to ensure production output and on time delivery targets are achieved to customer build specification
* Sourcing, negotiating and managing resource levels
* Customer survey outputs review and remedy
* Budget generation and delivery
* To continue to professionally develop and to set and achieve objectives through appraisal
* Monitor and review stock to ensure quality throughout the business
* Co-ordinate stock counts throughout the business
* Ensure that all maintenance and refurbishment activity is time and cost efficient / effective
* Management of internal and external site visit requests
* Tender support and management
* Contributing to the business development of the company
* Evaluation of customer needs
* Any other reasonable duty at the request of your line manager
* Management of understanding and adherence to Health & Safety legislation and policy
* Daily running of quality management and regulatory compliance
* Stock measurement and management throughout the business
* Budgetary Control & Review
* Measurement of performance and review
* Delivery of audits to develop consistency throughout the business
* Adherence to company policies and procedures and management there of
* Establish goals and objectives for team and implement accordingly
* Promoting equality of opportunity and diversity for all employees
* Identify individual training needs
* Development of staff through appraisal and mentoring
* Responsibility for the management of contract staff
