Purchasing Assistant / Buyer / Assistant Buyer

Overview:
You will be a strong communicator with the ability to communicate at all levels. Your attention to detail will be second to none. Within the role your primarily responsibility will be negotiating pricing, placing orders, expediting and maintaining price lists.

Key Duties:
* Fulfilment and replenishment of stock
* Managing own product portfolio
* Day to day contact with suppliers
* Eta's and expediting of outstanding purchase orders
* Negotiating pricing with suppliers
* Maintenance of price lists
* Stock management
* Working closely with product managers and sales
* Indentifying potential suppliers
* Dealing with goods in queries and invoice queries
* Reducing costs and improving quality of supply
* Working closely with sales and other departments.

Essential Criteria:
Purchasing experience
Strong written and oral communication skills
High levels of customer service delivery
Commercial awareness
Competent negotiation skills
Attention to detail and procedural compliance
Be able to work as part of a team
Be well motivated and organised.
